All of nature seems so much more complex, on second look. Consider the spider’s web.

What is this drum attracting? What is seeing me, and wants to be seen in return?  Joy.  Playfulness.  Curiosity.  Creativity.

Sometimes art takes a turn. This new drum waited for months and months to receive a painting.

One can practice the technical aspects of piano, of a dance or song, but can one practice visual Art? Is there something besides technique that one could be practicing?

I wondered what advice I might give my grand-niece for becoming an artist, and remembered the best advice I ever received.

I have recently had the good fun to work with Ayami Stryck and Meinsje Vlaming, hanging the 2021 Members Show at the Old School House Art Gallery. How to describe what we did?  I began to think of the exhibition as preparing a dinner party using 43 ingredients; the number of works we had to arrange. 

I often meet this question in connection to my drums and the shamanic journey experiences they make possible.

I understand that the Summer Solstice is the Sun’s wedding day,  so I am creating a ceremony for joining this energy by using my Journey Oracle deck to give me a new kind of guidance.
